Jost Vineyards - Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Quality Control Laboratory Technician, located in Malagash, NS (North Shore). This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate from a food science or chemistry program who would like to learn about wine.  The successful candidate will be trained by and work directly with the Quality Assurance Manager and Winemakers. The position will involve a full range of Quality Control activities including:

  • Perform analyses in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain an accurate laboratory inventory and inform QA Manager when items need to be ordered.
  • Perform Quality Control on all grapes, bottled wines, packaging and at the bottling line.
  • Completion of Work Orders related to analysis.
  • Data entry as required for tracking analyses.

Jost Vineyards - Full Time Cellar Worker

We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Fulltime Cellar Worker.

Start Date: Immediately
Place: Jost Vineyards
Wage Rate: Dependent on experience
Working Hours: Full time 

Duties Include:

  • Follow written list of cellar tasks accurately, and complete in a time- effective manner.
  • Operate Winery equipment as required.
  • Wine Transfers, blending, racking, topping, and barrel maintenance.


  • Able to perform physical-demanding work on a regular basis.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • WHMIS training, a forklift certificate and confined space training is an asset but not mandatory.

Jost Vineyards - Vineyard Worker

HIRING NOW and for MARCH, 2022
Practical experience of having worked in a Farm environment is desirable, but not necessary.


  • Vineyard work as required depending on time of year - pruning, leaf and bunch thinning, grape vine tucking; other general farm duties and crop harvesting.
  • Working with the wine-making team assisting with crushing and pressing.
  • Perform other duties as required

Successful candidates have the following attributes:

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, (cold, heat, rain etc.)
  • Problem solver; Flexible; Adaptable to change; Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, standing for long periods, and crouching.
  • Ability to follow established procedure.
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety procedures.
  • No Education required - we will train as necessary.
