Most people would agree that weekends are generally something to look forward to, especially in the summertime. Canada Day weekend is one of the most anticipated of the year and this year the celebrations are destined to be spectacular. What a perfect opportunity to raise a glass and toast to Canada’s 150th birthday!

Whether your weekend plans include an outdoor BBQ, camping, a picnic, or catching fireworks with friends and family, one thing that makes these long weekend festivities even more memorable is the ability to enjoy them with a nice glass of wine.

As many of you have experienced, glass bottles can sometimes seem cumbersome and delicate for weekend-long outdoor activities. Thankfully, Jost Vineyards has provided a solution. Two of their most popular bottled wines are also available in a 3L format to provide the convenience a busy weekend demands. Not only does it allow for easy transport to and from your destination, but it also keeps the remaining wine (if that ever happens!) from oxidizing, allowing it to stay fresh for days. The added bonus is that it’s an eco-friendly solution—better for our beloved Canadian environment

The white wine available in this format is Jost Vineyards popular blend of the varietals L’Acadie Blanc and Pinot Grigio. With a touch of sweetness to this crisp white wine, the fruity and floral elements work well together to make for an easy drinking summer sipper. Their red blend also uses two favourite local varietals, Leon Millot and Marechal Foch. Each varietal is fermented separately and then blended to create the fresh and juicy red wine that is designed to quench your thirst from the warm summer sun.

One thing is for certain; there will definitely be no shortage of things to do this weekend. If yours happens to include enjoying some tasty food, quality time with family and friends, and relaxing while celebrating our amazing country, then these party-ready red and white wines from Jost Vineyards are a must. Happy Canada Day! ... Cheers!
